Meeting of the POTENTIALS project
The third meeting of the POTENTIALS project will be held in Bologna
The centre of Bologna, delimited by the ancient city gates, can be enclosed in a circle
with a diameter of approximately 2.5 km. The "centre of the centre" is the historical Piazza Maggiore; the famous Two Towers are located just a few hundred metres to the east. For the purpose of orientation, one may imagine to draw two axes from Piazza Maggiore (one pointing to the north towards the railway station, the other one pointing to the east towards the Two Towers), dividing the centre into four sectors (NW, NE, SW, SE). Street maps of the four sectors are provided below.The Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e Geologico-Ambientali (meeting site) is located in Via Zamboni 67
(in the North-Eastern sector) at 10-15 minutes walking distance from the Two Towers. It is close to the junction between Via Zamboni and Via Irnerio (square C4 in the street map of the north-east sector). In the monument map the closest reference point is the "Universita'".The meeting room is the "Sala Riunioni" at the second floor
(follow the arrows at the entrance).The Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e Geologico-Ambientali can be easily reached by public services.
Bus stops in Via Irnerio (bus lines 20, 36, 37) and Viale Filopanti (bus lines 18, 32) are very close to the meeting site.For example
