Just a remainder that abstracts for the 3rd Ørsted International Science Team Meeting in Grasse, France May 2-4 are due Wednesday, March 15. See Ørsted Newsletter #1, 2000 for details.
Now, we have processed Ørsted preliminary MAG-L vector data from January. The data are available in CDF files and as the usual selected subset of elements in ASCII files.
The data have been more thoroughly tested this time, however they are still known to contain, mainly timing, errors. We are continuously improving our software to avoid these errors, however some still require manual inspection in order to be detected and corrected.
The description of the format and data are, as usual in http://www.dmi.dk/projects/oersted/SDC/DataDesc.shtml.
We have started making the Ørsted preliminary MAG-F scalar data. The description of the format and data can be found at http://www.dmi.dk/projects/oersted/SDC/Format-MAG-F.shtml respectively http://www.dmi.dk/projects/oersted/SDC/DataDescF.shtml.
So far, we have generated data for the period November 25 through January 30. The data are known to contain minor errors (check the description) and we would like to correct most of the errors before we generate more data.
The data are available via ftp at ftp://oerdist@ftp.dmi.dk - user oerdist, the usual password. Go to the data/mag-f directory. Both CDF and compressed ASCII files are available.
