The Polar Cap index PC

The polar cap index is a near real-time index, and a provisional version is, in principle, available with about 24 hours delay. For Thule a final version of the index is available about 3 months after the end of the year.

The polar cap (PC) magnetic activity index was originally introduced by Troshichev et al. [1979, 1988]:
