Danish Meteorological Institute Geomagnetism and Space Physics World Data Center for Geomagnetism, Copenhagen |
The Remote Sensing and Geomagnetism program of the Danish Meteorological Institute houses the World Data Center for Geomagnetism, Copenhagen as a part of the World Geophysical, Solar and Environmental Data Center System established by the International Council of Scientific Unions (ICSU). The WDC has collected a comprehensive set of analog and digital geomagnetic data as well as indices of geomagnetic activity supplied from a worldwide network of magnetic observatories. The data and services at the WDC are available for scientific use without restrictions.
The rules for the data use and exchange are defined by the Guide on the World Data Center System (ICSU Panel on World Data Centers, 1996). Note that information on the appropriate institution(s) is also supplied with the WDC data sets. If the data are used in publications and presentations, the data suppliers and the WDC for Geomagnetism (Copenhagen) must properly be acknowledged.
